IRL Education is an exciting social enterprise teaching life skills to high school students. We exist to bridge the gap between what’s taught in schools and the skills students really need to be successful in life afterwards. We run seminars on topics including emotional intelligence, routines and habits, career decisions, people skills, meditation & mindfulness and more.

We’re looking for someone passionate and enthusiastic to join our organisation as a Marketing Manager. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive marketing strategy, building relationships and networks with schools and their decision makers, further developing our brand and increasing awareness of our services to prospective clients. You will be comfortable working across channels, from social media to direct comms through to face to face meetings with customers. 

As a young organisation, you will have significant autonomy over your role, and the power to influence the direction and growth of our organisation. The right person will be passionate about our mission and dedicated to growing the business for social as well as financial ends. Your responsibilities will include;

  • designing a comprehensive marketing strategy

  • planning, directing and executing that strategy 

  • reviewing and developing existing marketing materials

  • identifying potential customers

  • effectively communicating our value to potential customers

  • generating sales leads

  • occasionally converting lead opportunities to sales (depending on other team member’s availability)

  • overseeing our social media strategy across multiple platforms, including creating posts and messaging

  • developing and managing advertising campaigns

  • contributing to the vision and strategy of the organisation

What we’re looking for in you;

  • marketing experience and/or tertiary qualification

  • great interpersonal communication skills

  • passion for social outcomes

  • an entrepreneurial attitude

  • professional and proactive work ethic

  • copywriting skills

  • attention to detail

  • (preferable) experience with Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

  • (preferable) experience with Apple’s iWork suite
